HATCHING EGG ORDERS WILL BE FILLED IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECEIVED AS EGG PRODUCTION ALLOWS.

Please note that not all breeds may be available when your order is placed. We do not guarantee SOP on every, single bird hatched. Please exercise your own due diligence on breeds, especially project breeds. Some breeds have a waiting list. We will be transparent about any wait times when your order is placed.

Our eggs are collected daily and all orders are filled with the freshest eggs possible. Your incubation conditions and practices are beyond our control so we cannot guarantee your hatch success. Before placing your order for hatching eggs please understand there will be no refunds and no guarantees on your hatching eggs regardless of circumstances. Packages will be shipped USPS Priority Mail.

We recommend purchasing twice as many eggs as you want chicks if you are hoping to get hens. Statistically, your hatch should yield 50% males and 50% females. We also recommend purchasing a few extra to increase your likelihood of hatching your ideal number of chicks.

⭐️ Please understand that not all eggs from each breed will be available at all times in any quantity you desire. Our girls take breaks, too! ⭐️

🛑 You are always taking a risk with getting shipped hatching eggs. This is not a convenience that comes without a price.

If you decide to commit to shipped eggs there are a few pieces of information that may make your hatches more successful:

⭐️ CALIBRATE YOUR INCUBATOR - this means placing an additional (already calibrated) thermometer and hydrometer in your incubator when you start it up. You do this BEFORE adding any eggs. The thermometer and the incubator should read the same temp. If they do not, adjustments need to be considered. Same with the hydrometer.

⭐️ Next, once the eggs arrive, do not attempt to clean them. (Our birds lay clean eggs, but you may have eggs from other sources as well). The eggs don’t need to be spotless, and trying to clean them may drive bacteria through the protective shell.

⭐️ Do, however, allow the eggs time to settle before placing them in your incubator. Settling gives the eggs a rest after being jostled during transport and also gives them time to adjust to a uniform temperature before incubation begins.

(There are different methods to settling so do some research to see what you prefer)

Eggs shipped by mail are highly unlikely to hatch at the same rate as fresher eggs that are not subjected to the rigors of transport. But settling them before incubation should improve the hatch rate, compared to eggs that have not been settled.

Happy hatching! 🥚 🐣 🐥

Order Cancellations -- If we do not ship your chicks (or have them ready for agreed-upon local pickup) on or 60 days after the chosen estimated ship month, you may request to cancel your order and receive a full refund. If you cancel your order for any reason before your chosen estimated ship month, there is no refund. Your deposit or pre-order money covers the investment and expenses in collecting your hatching eggs, daily rotating your eggs, using electricity and water to hatch the eggs, and covers expenses incurred should we not be able to sell the order you cancelled and have to incur greater costs in caring for and feeding your chicks. There are NO exceptions to this policy so please consider this before ordering.

Guarantees
After the eggs leave our hands, we cannot guarantee safe arrival, fertility, or hatchability, or the vitality of any resulting chicks, because of the many variable factors the eggs and chicks may encounter during shipment, transportation, altitude and environment change, off-site incubation, and rearing.  We do not guarantee that shipped eggs will arrive undamaged or viable, as we cannot control the postal service's handling during shipping.  We do not guarantee that the eggs will arrive on time or on the date expected; however, if you ship via USPS Priority Mail Express, the USPS does guarantee the arrival time and will issue a refund for the postage if the shipment arrives outside of that time frame. No refunds or replacements will be issued for damaged/inviable hatching eggs.  You can collect a refund from the USPS in circumstances where a problem is clearly the USPS's responsibility (a lost shipment, or the exterior of a package so seriously damaged that it obviously caused the damage to the eggs inside.)  Buyer assumes all risk in buying hatching eggs and/or having them shipped.

We do not guarantee that chicks shipped via Priority Mail will arrive alive or undamaged outside of the 615 area code.
